Rwanda: Bk Wins Fourth Bank of Year Award, Launches Express Money
It has been indeed a successful year for Bank of Kigali, Rwanda’s largest financial institution by market share of total assets, loans, deposits after scooping the Bank of the Year 2012 Award from the Banker Magazine. This is the fourth consecutive year the bank is winning the award.

Senegal: Bumper Grain Harvest Expected in South
Dakar – Farmers in Médina Yoro Foula, in Senegal’s southern Kolda region, are expecting a good grain harvest this year, and hope to sell thousands of tonnes of grain in the local and regional markets.
“The harvest will be far better than last year’s,†said Moussa Sabaly, from the Regional Office for Rural Development (DRDR) in Kolda.

Rwanda: Oil Prospects Gain Momentum
Prime Minister Pierre Damien Habumuremyi recently told parliament that studies done so far have shown that there are very high prospects of oil deposits in East Kivu Graben region of Rwanda.
This is the first ever solid confirmation from government on the stretched exploration activity by the Canadaian exploration firm, Vanoil Energy Limited.
