South Africa constructs US$ 70m mall in Limpopo
The construction of a US$ 70m mall in Limpopo South Africa dubbed Thavhani Mall is underway with opening date slated for 24 August 2017.
The mall in Limpopo sits on a 27 ha piece of land.
The new mall in South Africa will be the biggest shopping centre in Thohoyandou region as well as the larger Thulamela Municipality, consisting of over 134 shops, restaurants, and service outlets.
Kenya’s Pan Paper Mill now reopens in September
Kenya’s paper maker Pan Paper Mill factory will now reopen in mid September, General Manager Y. V Choudray has confirmed. The paper factory located in the western part of Kenya has been facing challenges in acquiring new machinery and upgrading thus pushing back the re-opening date.
Mr Choudray added that the revamped paper mill was undergoing a few tests before being commissioned in September this year.
Ghana mulls constructing US$ 1.2bn recreation park
A new recreation park in Ghana that will cost US$ 1.2bn is set for construction this is after the sod cutting ceremony was done to mark the beginning of the development project.
The park dubbed Accra Eco Park will be constructed in phases scheduled for completion in the next five and seven years, however, the first phase is projected to be completed in the next 24 months.
Nigeria to distribute 50,000 free prepaid meters
Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, is set to officially launch the distribution of 50,000 free prepaid meters to consumers of Kaduna Electric Distribution Company (KAEDCO) in Sokoto. Eng. Garba Haruna, KAEDCO Managing Director announced.
