$50m-Africa World Airline to take off September 21
Africa World Airline, a joint Venture between the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, the Strategic African Securities (ASA), both of Ghana, and Hainan Airlines of China, is set to take to the skies on September 21.

Sri Lanka is expanding its diplomatic presence in Africa with plans to set up new missions in 15 countries, a move that comes after Colombo got support from African nations at the UN human rights council vote on a castigating resolution.

India is focussing on enhancing economic and trade co-operation with West African nations and has set sights on increasing the trade turnover with such African countries to around $20 billion by 2015 from the present $14.1 billion per annum.
South Africa's African agenda
The Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Kgalema Mothlanthe paid a rare visit to Ghana in April at the invitation of John Dramani Mahama , Vice President of Ghana. It is significant in terms of a growing realisation of the need for South Africa to develop with Africa. The visit was within the context of consolidating the African Agenda through enhancing and deepening political, economic and social relations.
