Nisan Group of Africa committed to development of Africa

Nissan Group of Africa Director of Sales and Operations, Jim Dando stated that "We are committed to Africa, decentralising our operations and appointing automotive business leaders of this character to head up these regions".

Nissan Group of Africa recently moved the continent into three different regions: Central, East and West Africa, in accordance with the global automotive

company’s policy to get closer to the client base, while working with local governments to shape automotive policies paving the way for greater investment in a continent that Nissan already dominates.

"These are three key regions for us and have laid very strong foundations in all of them but 2019 will give us real opportunity to take our relationships with governments, distributors and customers to the next level in terms of intelligent mobility and getting Africa behind the wheel", said Jim Dando.

Imad Ghorayeb joins Nissan after an 18-year career with Japan Motors Trading Company Limited where he was regional general manager for three years for a region that included Ghana, Senegal, Togo and Mali.

Previously he was JMTC’s sales and marketing director and played an important role in helping the company grow out of its base in Ghana.

Imad Ghorayeb has been appointed as regional general manager West Africa, along with Max de Wit as regional general manager East Africa and on the other hand Linda Mazimhaka, regional general manager Central Africa.

De Wit is appointed in Nairobi, Kenya, and responsible for Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia. He has spent his entire career in the transport industry, first as the fleet manager for South African energy utility Eskom and then for the last 23 years at Nissan where he has proved himself in a number of different and challenging assignments from export to after sales and then sales in Africa and in South Africa.

Nissan Group of Africa has further said they are committed to development of Africa.
